The Primary Role of the Legal Nurse Consult is to evaluate, analyze, and render opinions on the delivery
of health care and the resulting outcomes.

Elements of Service

1. Review medical records and other documentation including hospital policies and procedures, depositions, testimony, and other essential documents.
2. Investigate medical malpractice cases for merit.
3. Define applicable Standards of Care.
4. Present adherence and deviations from the Standards of Care.
5. Identify types of testifying experts and provide referrals to such experts.
6. Produce Case chronologies and timelines.

7. Assist in the preparation of interrogatories, depositions and attending independent medical examinations.

8. Make readily available a wide range of applicable authoritative medical references.
