The Primary Role of the Legal Nurse Consult is to evaluate, analyze, and render opinions on the delivery
of health care and the resulting outcomes.
Elements of Service
- Review medical records and other documentation including hospital policies and procedures, depositions, testimony, and other essential documents.
- Investigate medical malpractice cases for merit.
- Define applicable Standards of Care.
- Present adherence and deviations from the Standards of Care.
- Identify types of testifying experts and provide referrals to such experts.
- Produce Case chronologies and timelines.

Assist in the preparation of interrogatories, depositions and attending independent medical examinations.
- Make readily available a wide range of applicable authoritative medical references.
